RCA out wiring instructions

Can anyone give me a brief tutorial on how to build a RCA out wiring harness like the one sold by newministuff. Connects to the x connector. I am experienced enough to build and install it, just need to know what goes where and how.
Thanks

Sure.

First, what are you trying to accomplish? If you are going for a dub, it's actually easier to get a signal in the back by the amp. (Less run of RCA cable, no need to take a lot of the car apart.)

get Monster cable RCA's. They have bigger wires, it easier to solder. Some RCA's have very small wire, and it's a pita to work with.

Anyway, check the RCA and see if it's marked for signal flow direction, usually an arrow or in writing on the cable. If you can't figure it out, don't worry about it. Lol

Now, cut off the plug on one end. Strip about 2" of the outer casing exposing the wires. ( usually they are wrapped in fiberglass( you can cut that off too)

Ok, now identify which wire is + and -. - is the shield and is the outer part of the RCA. The + is the inner post of the RCA. Now strip the individual wires and you're ready to solder.

In front find the x9331 connector in the drivers footwell. Pins 3,4,5,6 are the front l&r +-

If you are in back at the amp, (L) 38 gr/bl +, 30 gr/br - (R) 9 bl/gr + 17 bl/yl -

This is for a r56 with hk.

You can use posi taps, or cut and solder.
