Silicone vs rubber vacuum hose

My vacuum lines need to be replaced the ones near the pressure converter. But I'm wondering what would be better silicone or the stock lines. I know most owners with turbo cars replace lines with silicone because most of the pressure is boost rather then vacuum like on audis but I'm not sure where minis stand on that point. I am somewhat weary though that the silicone may collapse under pressure. Anyone have any thoughts?
