hey,
I bought some 17" white Team Dynamic Pro Race 1's a couple of months ago (probably have under 2k miles) and I have some issues that have led me to return the wheels and get a full refund (you can read my post called Just Got 17" White Team Dynamic Pro Race 1's installed PICTURES!!) One wheel has the lip for the hubcaps and the other three do not (which means they cannot have any hubcaps, unless I do a custom thing) and I do not want to see the rusty hubs of the MINI. That was annoying but not enough to return them.

BUT the MAJOR PROBLEM is that one of my wheels has a pin-sized hole in the wall and is cause me to lose 10psi overnight . The hole is where the wheel would roll on the ground if there was no tire on it (like imagine where the tread pattern is on the tire, it is in the same spot on the wheel). The hole is clearly a manufacture's defect and that is why I am getting a full refund. I bought the wheels from RSpeed in Marrietta, Ga. RSpeed has been absolutly GREAT and Joe said it would be no problem to get a refund. RSpeed is a honestly owned and operated so I don't want to put any of the blame on them.

Thanks to a fellow NAM member's posting of Centerline's wheel deals, I bought the last set of their 17" black pearl Excel's for $188 a piece (they retail for $340 a piece! ) They are Forged aluminum and weigh under 15lb. And they have a full 3 year warrenty. Here is a pic:

Centerlinewheels.com then click on "wheel deals" and select your state, and bolt pattern and you have all the specials. There are three types wheels there right now that fit the MINI. Two of the types are $188 per wheel and the other is $224 per wheel. Go check it out.

As a matter of fact, I paid for them myself, with money that I earned over the past summer. So you see, I don't get everything paid for by my daddy. And I am also paying the difference in price of these Centerlines vs the TDR's and any other cost that come up.

How come it took so long for the air to start leaking out of your tires? i have the Pro Race 1's and have had no problems with them (knock on wood)

Your guess is as good as mine. I think a reasonable explaination is that the paint and clear coat temorarly sealed the tiny hole in the metal and then once the paint gave way (may cause of pothole or what not) the air could come out. I have only heard good things about the Pro Race's and that is why I bought them, but I guess I got a bad set or someting. :???:

Alrighty, I just got my Excels put on today over at RSpeed. Here are some pics of my new shoes. I still have my perelli run-flats on them. For fullsized pics, go to my cardomain page at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/531197.

I got a question: Do you think I aught to replace my white stripes with some stripes that match my wheels and have white trim. Just a thought. Thanks

I'd just skip the stripes. It goes faster without 'em. No, really!..
