r56 s throttle percentage

Did a few searches on here and Google....I may not be using the right search terms...

What are folks seeing for throttle percentages? I am using torque with an obd2 Bluetooth device.

At idle, feet off the pedals, I get 14.7%.
At WOT, I get 77% - did several 2/3 pulls to over 6k rpm. Used the peak function to capture.

Regular boost level I see is just over 12 psi. Peak of 13.5.

Am I seeing correctly? Am I getting full boost and 'over boost'?

Sometimes the car is a beast. Others, it is a turd rolling downhill. Does not seem consistent. Had the car for 5 weeks now and the handling is a blast.

2010 Cooper S. Chili Red with classic white top. Only mod is a DDM works RIS.

This sounds about right. There are lots of variables to this though. But IMO does sound normal.

I regularly get 16 to 16.5 psi boost in my 2007 R56 (as monitored through the OBDII). To be clear - that's under WOT, not in daily driving.

The throttle percentages seem odd to me as well as the inconsistent 'butt dyno' performance.

I'm coming from an awd talon running water/meth and 23 psi (with all the supporting goodies). The ecu controlling so much in the cars will take some getting used to.

You won't see full boost until probably 4th gear. There just isn't enough load on the engine at the lower gears. Also, are you in sport mode?

Sport mode on and off. Still see same boost and throttle numbers. Logged engine load seen by ecu when i went out for lunch and it pegs at 100% easily in second gear at 8 psi. The load is there.

I'm going to swap back to totally stock (only intake) and see what I see.

I've got a ScanGauge, not an app. But on my Justa, I see about 16-17 at warm idle. Overrun (coasting with the throttle closed) can be as low as 10. WOT (Wide Open Throttle) is generally in the 80s, but I have seen it get into the 90s at higher RPMs at WOT.

I'm not sure what the ECU is looking at when it says engine load but do a WOT pull till about 4.5k RPM in 4th gear and I bet you'll see much more than 8psi. I don't know of any modern cars that make peak boost in 2nd gear unless they're highly modified with aftermarket boost control.

Did several pulls in 1/2/3/4 up to 5k in 4th and >6k in 1/2/3. Peaked at 13.5 in 3rd. Highest I saw in 4th was 12.1psi. Temps out were 75 with moderate humidity.

Sounds about right. Did a 4th gear pull today and peaked right around 15 in a JCW so 13 sounds right for an S
