Drivetrain VIP Intake - Filter Angle?
VIP Intake - Filter Angle?
I just installed the VIP Air Intake (VPN 803) yesterday, and noticed the filter mounts at an angle to the MAF sensor that it clamps on to. The instructions say to "rotate the filter so the angle matches the angle of the bracket", but the bracket itself seems pretty square.
Obviously the angle of the filter really makes no difference in its ability to perform its function, but I was just curious: what angle did you mount your filter element at?
I settled on angling it downward away from the cover plate. This keeps it hidden from view by the plate from above, angles it slightly towards the intake pipe, and gives it a bit more breathing room away from the cover.
How about you?
