If anyone wants to do this, then this item might come in handy. Not sure how to post pictures here, so I provide a link to it over on MINI2:

Please PM me if interested.

Neat idea - but where does the battery reside now?

Hi guys. Here is page 13 of a long thread detailing the whole evolution of this project. Battery location can be seen here, as well as some discussion of sound (if I recall correctly):

http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...muffler+choice

The part I'm selling was integral in my evaluation of the feasibility of this exhaust system. I've never had a dyno, so no b4/after. But given the increased flow, it is a winner for modified engines. I'm sure for a stock engine it would see a drop in torque though. The key is to get as much flow as possible, then dial-in the back-pressure later. One can do so at the cat, a more restrictive muffler, and with something like a UNIChip ECU, things could be really refined. Trying to do the same for the opposite (increased flow), is just not so easy. That is why I went this route, to max the flow, and work backwards, if need be....

I've had a few people ask me about creating a kit, or something along those lines. To be honest, I feel that just a handful of people will want to do something like this. It is not exactly the best thing for resale

Thanks for posting the pictures minihune! I do have some nice hangers now for the Borla, not that temporary "plumbing tape" that got me to the shop...

Oh, also not shown is the strap for the SLA battery. It all came-out very nice.

Experimenting with mufflers to get the desired sound is where this piece that I'm selling comes into play. Why go spend 300+ bucks on the 2.5 ss center tube to not get something one likes? I did all of my testing on this unit which convinced me that this will meet my needs. And in all honesty, one could use this system as is, with their choice of muffler and tip. One doesn't have to go 2.5 the whole way like I did...

If anyone does indeed want this, I still have the box my SuperSprint center tube came in, so I would be willing to ship. Again, PM me if interested.
