Thought I'd start a new thread for anyone who's ordered a Countryman in July.

Here's where I am:

Ordered 07/01/2013
Awaiting production number (hopefully tomorrow)

 

I ordered mine on June 24th. It's a 2014 brilliant copper, black roof all4 s with sunroof, mini connected no nav and black turbofan wheels.

According to mini it was scheduled to be finished July 4th.

 

Well it might be nice if I posted a little more info too.

Mine is:

Light White/Black
Cold weather
Tech package with connected (no nav)
Sport package with black 18" double spoke
Premium package 1
Sunroof
Black headlight housings

Adding at dealer

Xpel
Custom flat black stripes
Mudguards

Got my production number! Scheduled to start 7/11/13.

Still not in OL yet, though. :(

 

Don't get frustrated by not showing up in OL. My R60 is awaiting transportation to the docks and still can't be seen on there. I just keep buggin my MA who always seems more than happy to fill me in.

Everyone here will tell you that OL is pretty much worthless...which is a shame. They go through the effort of putting that together and advertising the ability to track it, but it's hit or miss.

 

Try the Ask Mini hotline too. It works with your production number you got from your MA. I've found that to be more up to date and have more granular info than OL does.

Be thankful you have an enthusiastic MA. Mine doesn't return emails and when I leave a voice mail, I get curt emails with little to WRONG info. I am kind of hoping when my car is ready in 2 weeks or so, he will be on vacation.

I should be getting my production number on July 8th.

This will replace my Clubman.

 

I assume you know about the WW tracking system for when your car gets on a boat? i am tracking the boat with our JCW now....just passing south of the Irish mainland, heading out to the open Atlantic

 

Yes well aware of the tracking. Get ready for when it hits the Atlantic for a blackout until it gets close to the US coast.

 

ah, ok, sorry about that. we are first time Mini buyers and had no clue about tracking until someone here turned us onto it...

 

It's no problem and thanks! I'm not the only one in this thread and others may not be aware.

I just wanted to let you know about the blackout on the ocean. It can seem like an eternity!

Just so everyone knows, this is my 4th MINI. My 3rd as a custom order. And finally my 1st Countryman!

 

Just in case people aren't aware, there is a really good post here on how to track your mini once ordered.

 

blackout for an eternity is right. The Live Ships tracking site lost the ship my JCW is on right after it entered the Celtic Sea. It was not tracked for six days and just got picked up again today, about 75 miles from the east coast and hours before it docks.

 

ha, mine is on the edge of the Celtic Sea, so I figure I will lose it sometime tonight....It's kind of comforting knowing where in the world our car is.....for now...!

so you are close....I assume your ship docks in Baltimore? Heck, you might have your car by Wednesday!

 

Yes, very close... dealership is in Baltimore. But I won't get it for a week or maybe two. Having the dealership add quite a few things and one of them requires an outside vendor.

 

ah, c'mon share! Might give us ideas for things we want to add as well...what good stuff are you getting?

 

Custom stripes, chili red with black pins. Full bonnet clear bra. And one I'm not divulging... having too much fun with the guys in the Waiters thread withholding it.

Well my status is actually updated to the following:

Ordered: 07/01/13
Entered Production: 07/02/13
Scheduled Finish: 07/11/13

So day after tomorrow it should be complete!

 

I'm jealous. I got my production number on 7/8 but ASKMINI says that my car "is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet". I spoke with a live person yesterday and he didn't have a date for me :-( This is my second MINI, and I told myself prior to ordering that I would not go crazy with the tracking this time 'round, but I can't help it. Ha-ha.

 

Man, I really hate to hear that! Is there a chance they put it in as a dealer order instead of a customer order? Customer orders have priority over dealer orders...

 

Where did yours actually ship from? I asked "ASK MINI" yesterday, but they said they wouldn't be able to tell me until after production was complete... Also, how long from factory to port? Any idea which ship transporter?

Celtic Sea sounds about right, though. I believe that's where I lost track of my 2012 MCS until right off of Brunswick, GA...

 

It was classified as Priority 1-Customer Sold. I got the sheet from my MA. Hopefully, it will move in the next few days (sigh).

 

Looks like my status changed overnight. It turns out my production started July 10th (yesterday), estimated completion date is July 19. I was gonna add xenons to the order but I guess I can't now! But can't complain.
