What's this "nasty countryman thread?" Is this an issue with 2013's? What about the 2014's?
Congrats on the ship

On the thread, don't worry about it. Someone had an axe to grind and they did. To be fair, there was an issue with 2011 & 2012 clutches with the All4 system. Tis was fixed in 2013 and most people haven't had an issue getting a new clutch put on for free. Not an issue with automatics, or FWD vehicles.

My build wrapped up on Friday. Now I'm awaiting transport. Hopefully it will be here in under two months.

Colorado? Which port will your car come in at? If port Hueneme, it will be 25-27 days on the water depending on the ship.

Yep, Port Hueneme for me. I wonder how long it will take my car to make onto a boat?

Don't know. WW's site is down right now so cannot check their shipping schedules. I think they tend to leave Bremerhaven on Thursdays or Fridays.

Yep, that does suck. We didnt really baby the Roadster and all has been good with it. Its funny though, i seldom hammer it the way i did my first gen hrd top. Guess im just maturing. Rarely even use the sport button. That is until the situation calls for it.

Back to the CM. Looking between getting a twin to yours or doing copper with a black top. The JCW ext package for the CM is steep but I have to have the side skirts and zenons were already going to be there. 18" wheels are nice but i would leave them if i could. My view on the stirpe changes daily. The interior JCW seems like a must too as it is a way to dress up the basic interior finishes I will choose trying to keep the overall cost down. I have found the lounge seats get beat up pretty easy in the Roadster so I'm thinking the leatherette will be more durable with this one being the dog car.

Should be in one by Xmas I would think.

Thanks for the info. The ASK-MINI line still says released to carrier and my VIN doesn't show up as cargo on the WW site. My fingers are crossed but I'm guessing it will be on the 8/10 boat.

Lana didn't show up on the Tiger's manifest until 3 full days after it set sail, so they may load now and take a few days to record it. Don't give up until say Aug 1 or 2.

My status has just been updated to "in transit to the port of exit." I still have hope that that I made it out on the boat that left two days ago and the ASK-MINI line is just a few days behind. If not I will most certainly make it out on the boat that leaves on the 10th. All in all the times still line up with the 60-90 day estimate that my MA gave me when I ordered.

Mines on the Grand Venus and it's been listing that it's in panama for the last seven days, I assume that's an error!

Yup. Until it his the SoCal coast, the last reported position is Panama, so good chance it is 1-2 days away from being trackable.

However, this shows it is not due in to Port Hueneme until August 31.

Are you sure your car's on that ship?

I can't tell because of a lack of smilies but I think you're kidding and know that's a typo right?

August 31st is listed right between July 31s and August 2nd
IT's listed as a Thursday, and this year it's a Saturday.

August 1st (Today actually) is a Thursday, and that was the day it was supposed to arrive, plus I'm not sure how you could take 34 days to go through the panama canal in a ship like that.

Ha! No. I didn't notice it was a typo. It isn't a Kline ship or WW that I can tell, which is why I was wondering if it was accurate. I figured it was headed to South America first or something. I knew it looked odd, but didn't scrutinize the file from the port. Just sat GV and checked the date.

So, should be there today. Fantastic!

My Countryman is on the Vessel Honor. After 9 long days, it finally showed up off the coast of North Carolina headed for Baltimore. It is scheduled to be there tomorrow. I also see that it cleared customs according to Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics site. I guess that is a good thing.

Anyone know how long it takes on average to get from Baltimore to the dealer. I'm in Louisville, KY.

Your MA should know. Each dealer has its own transit time. Mine took 5 days, but the VDC installed a few options there, but the port is right at 100mi from the dealer.

Mine took an amazing 12 days to get here from the port. They said it wasa shipping delay due to weather, but I think it was just torture. I think the average is closerto 5 or 6 days.

Mine arrived at the port of exit today and is awaiting a shipping vessel. All signs are pointing it getting on the boat that leaves on 8/10.

Mine finally got on a ship! It was completed on 7/18. Released to carrier on 7/19. Transported to port of exit on 7/24. Been waiting for a ship at the port since 7/26. After what seems like a long wait, it got on board Toronto which departed on 8/4, scheduled to arrive in NJ/NY on 8/15. It's gonna be a LOOONG month.

@Zugar, congrats on the boat. I think mine will be setting sail on Saturday. The boat to the west coast takes 25 days so I'm a little jealous of your relatively short 11 day trip across the pond.

Also, has anyone else heard about a possible customs hold on 2014's? I read about it somewhere and my dealer's sales manager said he had heard it was possible as well.
