Rant!!!!!!!

My little "Bruiser" isn't the prettiest. He's got a few minor dents and scratches, i mean he's 7 years old and is a daily driver. I really don't mind them, it's part of his "personality". Today I'm washing and see that someone has keyed, ****** into my rear hatch i'm about to lose it. Why the hell would anyone key someones vehicle? Why the hell would anyone key a swear word into it? I'm losing my faith in people anymore. I'm seeing a quick drop in the quality of human beings anymore. It's very sad. Got a quote at $300 to get it fixed, oh yeah they scratched to the primer. Rant over. Thanks for reading. Hope your day is better than mine.

There is a special place in hell reserved for people who do this sort of sh*t.

i can understand accidental damage, I live in NYC where bumper scrapes are a part of life. However, it takes a special kind of sh*tty person to intentionally key someone's car. I hope someone pees in their coffee

As a whole, people suck.

This is one of the reasons I preach to people to carry a very low Comp deductible on their auto policy.

Collision coverage... I carry a large deductible because I have control over most situations that would result in a Collision claim.

But Comp... so many things can happen resulting in a Comp claim that are out of our control. Vandalism is one of them.

As an insurance agent, I tell my insureds the same thing. Keep those comprehensive deductibles low so you won't have to pay out the nose for something you had no control over and remember glass damage is covered under comp as well.

Thank you for serving your policyholders well !

We have great agents at State Farm but sometimes it appears they are doing what many other companies do, I'm sure... recommending high deductibles to make a competitive quote, not knowing if prospective customers are comparing apples to apples when shopping for insurance, or hoping they don't continue shopping at all.

Insurance aside - I would loose it big time if I ever caught some #$%&*( damaging any of my fleet. I hope he dies screaming of something painful and incurable.

I noticed a new scratch on my car when I washed it this afternoon. I think I'm more upset to hear about your car being keyed. That's just messed up.

I think an animal ran across my roof, and caught a claw along the way, oh well.

I was thinking, I'm not much for bumper stickers, but maybe one could cover the part where a word was scratched in to it??

I'm thinking the background of the sticker could be the color of your car, and the word MINI spelled with BMW's "//M" logo-font, with the blue and red stripe in front of the first letter. Just an idea, and I think you can get custom vinyl-sticker printed cheaply at a good professional copy shop.

List of things that has happened to my 2005 Black and Green Mini COoper S

My car has a green body, painted black rims, black stripes, black roof, and candy green paint calipers, with tints, so it is clearly a Male owned vehicle. I have experience more than enough hate with my vehicle, here are my incidents:

Minor:
-2 x Intentional door dings (that took the other car's paint with it), small key scratches on every single corner of my vehicle that I have buffed out with scratch x and waxing.
-Putting out their cigarettes on the hood of my car and leaving the butt there.
-Leaving random items in my SC intake hole (I put up a mesh grill afterwards)
-Teenagers tagging on my windshield.
-Other Mini (Non-S) owner stealing trims from my vehicle to replace his own that got into an accident
-Stealing tire caps

Major:
-SUV backing up into my hood and running off (it was a fat girl in a beat up 4 runner that did this)
-Person stomping on the roof of my car starting off with the hood, leaving dents on the roof (it was a guy with converse says size 9 the dirt shoe marks)
-Putting more dents on the roof while fixing the stomps (the shop workers quit after doing this)
-hitting the corner of my car and driving off (tbd)
-deep key marks that required repainting of the vehicle

I believe the Mini's experience more hate than most vehicles because the body and paint makes the vehicle look original and timeless, most people believe my car is new even though it is now 8 years old. If my car's paint faded like a toyota camry, I probably wouldn't have this issue.

In addition, when a bunch of girls walk by the Mini and say it's sooo cute in a metropolitan area, and the group of guys or their boyfriend behind or near them hear this, you will realize it gets men real angry.

Ok, aside from the special hell reserved for people who key cars..

Since the car is older... I prefer... to find a used color-matched part... bolt it on...

Often, you can get a big-part like a hatch, door, or fender for $150.

car-part.com

Start looking. Good luck.

I just park far away.. (and not like a jerk taking up two spaces) now. I can't trust anyone or anywhere... Its a shame.

I really am sorry too hear about your mini..
hopefully karma will have them get something nice and wonderful and it gets stolen or lights on fire in a parking lot or something too that effect..
normally Karma is ten fold of whatever you do so it takes a while but I see bad days ahead for that kid. or kids

which would be his or her own fault and thats whats so great about Karma

That sucks, one of my worst fears about leaving my MINI in a parking lot is that some A** will key it.

So many people today have everything given to them either by parents or by the government, they have no idea what it takes to EARN the money to get what you want so therefore have no respect for your or their own property.

I absolutely hate leaving my baby in a parking lot, even at work. I'm such a stickler about everything. Of course, someone at work, a "professional" truck driver, backed into the front of the Pocket Rocket in the dark, smashing my Hella driving lights. So far nobody has been man enough to come talk to me about it, which really burns me. I'm now leaving 3 road cones about 8 feet in front of the car to be obnoxious and send a message.

I feel for you, man. Car keyers and hit-and-runers have a special circle of hell reserved just for them.

I feel your pain! Keyed under the boot wing, even though not visible for the most part I know it's there. Two deep door dents. Although I'm sure I got even with a guys kid riding my son's BMX bike after his dad stole from the back of my truck as I turned around to answer some ones question. The handle bars were stripped but you could not tell until you came down even some what hard, then the bars spun all the way down towards the ground. that's gonna leave a mark! To bad it will be their kid getting hurt and not them though.
