A Clock/Timer sign on the instrument panel?
Hi there
yesterday I noticed there is a signal that looks like a timer or a clock .
Had a look in the online service manual , didn't find any reference.
What's that?
Thanks

The 54.5 is the total of Kilometers the car passed since last time I reseted it
Everytime I fuel the car I reset it just to know how good the car went
When I press the black push thing it resets and the number goes back to 0.0
So I don't know if its average speed..

That's the brake pad replacement light. MINI programed that light to come on when you need them so as soon as it came on is when they need to be replaced. Try to get them replaced as soon as possible so no damage occurs.
No, it's the Brake Fluid Service warrning.

What kind of fun can Someone have with asking a question about a warning came up ?
The car is not a U.S car yes, I live in Israel and there aren't much of Minis around here , so I always prefer to ask in forums before going to dealers..

I'm sorry but you are all wrong. That button in the upper left controls the brightness of the speedo lighting when it's turned on. Press it and it lowers, hold it and it brightens. That black button on the speedo controls your trip meter. If you press it, it resets and goes back to zero. Hope this helps.

How come it just appeared now ?
No, the clock symbol being discussed here is to the left of the "P" in the LED display.

It matches exactly the description in BlwnAway's link in post #11. Do you have an Owner's Manual for your car? It is not in the USA version of the manual.

So, I think your question has been answered in the thread on mini2.com. Do you see the service countdown number when pressing the trip reset button?
Hello, the clock symbol is for the brake fluid change. If you press the trip reset button as you startup, it should display a number with a minus sign in front of it. This is the number of days since the brake fluid should have been changed.
