R56 Unlocking both doors and boot/trunk with key fob
Unlocking both doors and boot/trunk with key fob
I have done the searches and read the owners manual. Could not find the answer.
My 5 year old MCS ('07) was programmed to open both doors and the boot/trunk with one press of the key fob. The battery died and now that I've replaced it, I've lost that feature. The key fob now opens both doors but not the trunk. I've been through the programming process and set it so both doors open. How do I set the trunk to open as well. My goal is to unlock the entire car with one push of the key fob.
Thanks

Click the button on the left stalk at the very end, go to the settings portion, once there there is a selection for the unlocking of both doors. It looks like the top of the car with both doors opening.
If both of your doors are unlocking with one press of the unlock button, then you have it set correctly.
Which means your boot latch button has gone bad and needs to be replaced. They seem to be a somewhat common item that needs replacement due to corrosion.
