Well I don't know how crazy this is but to me the HK system sounds better when I fade it to the rear -5 or -6
I like to hear all four speakers not just the front ones.

So am I crazy or do any of you do the same?

 

You *may* be crazy but I add some rear speaker bias too...on all my vehicles.

 

I've had to use the fader on every car I've ever owned. At the drivers position, it's necessary for the front-rear balance when speakers are on the doors. Of course, the best fader setting for the drivers position won't be ideal for listening from the rear seats.

 

I've always done this too. I also sometimes do +1 or +2 to the passenger side.

I always fade mine to the rear as well... It just seems more balanced sitting in the drivers seat! I do like the way the HK sounds..lol..

 

Yes, I've named mine "Darth Fader". He is a presence that's always felt but not always seen... I have him set 2/3 to rear. I have the bass cut by 75%.... This combo seems to give the best overall balance, though its not anything to brag about fer sure.
