Thanks for the link!

Jason is the organizer of Lidatek GB over at the M5 board. He also owns a EB/W MCS, but unfortunately, he doesn't surf on NAM as he cares more about M5.

Have you seen any tests showing this performing well? The ones I have read show the ZR3 at the top. radartest shows the LE-20 not even jamming a single test, if I recall correctly. That is just one of the mediocre reviews I've seen from this company.

Regards, Mark

Quote from review off LE-20:

"Having found the earlier Lidatek jammer to be highly effective, we'd say that either we got a bum unit or more likely, that Lidatek, like Blinder and K40, has been blind-sided by the latest anti-jamming software by the laser manufacturers."

Another review of the LE-20:

Sean, thanks for the links!

One of the test data is a bit outdated as some of those units tested have newer designs. Lidatek now has 2 jamming units, while Blinder M-10 is totally obsolete and several generations old.

Radartest is the site that shares a mutual dislike with the Valentine 1 folks. The favored radar detector on m5board appears to be the V1. I agree the information is old but it was all I could find on Lidatek.

The fact that m5board was able to get over 200 people to buy this product sight unseen means that they must have a decent reputation.

I'm toying with the idea of tucking it in the top of the hood scoop of my MCS. Not sure what that would do to airflow though.

Another review may be coming soon:

http://www.speedzones.com/

2004 Annual Radar Detector Test Set-Speed Measurement Laboratories, Inc’s. Annual Radar Detector Test is set for June 11-13 in El Paso, TX. New radar and laser guns announced at the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police will be pitted against new radar detectors from all manufacturers. Laser countermeasures will be evaluated.

Have you thought about the lower bumper grille instead? That's where I installed 2 laser jammer units on mine.

Considering the way Calif feels about them my goal is to make the installation as invisible as possible. If I do get pulled over I want to make the nice officer work for the ticket.

That and my wife has made it crystal clear that I will not do anything to ruin the looks of the MINI.

Dave, what unit are you using and how does the Lidatek compare size wise?

sorry to bring this back up from the dead, but MCs = easy target. I worried about driving long distances and having uncle sam target me off.

How did the install on these go for the MCs?
