I want another pair of rally lights. Do you think I can just splice them into the existing wiring of the OEM Ralleys I already have, or would that be too much power for the fuse? .... Why do I want them? Because I live in a ittle city of 10,000 people and there are 4 MINIS and 3 of them, including mine, are CR/W. I want a little individualism. ..... and also so I can FLASH idiots who drive with their brights on, on our narrow 2-lane country roads. ... I wanna hit them with 100,000 candle watts of power -- arrr arrr arrr

There are lots of how to's about this if you search for them. Especially over on mini2.com. The discussions got rather lengthy, but they figured it out.

And if you dont mind wiring yourself. You wouldnt have to replicater the complexness of the factory wiring. You could just wire them straight to the battery and put a switch on that within the cabin.

You can splice into the wiring. We have 4 rally lights all connected together through the same wire and the same fuse

That's not alltogether true. People with night vision problems can not see well when faced with idiots who don't pay enough attention to turn their brights off. EVERYONE is doing other drivers a service by "gently" flashing drivers to let them know their brights are on. That's why it's illegal to not turn them off when approaching another car. ....

No it's not what I said the first time. BUT I DID SAY FLASH.

Don't you ever have any fun and kid around?

I even did the Tim Allen thing to allude to the kidding. And 100,000 candle watt power ..... I have no idea how much candle watt power they have but 100,000 is a bit rediculous.

Give me a bradk - lighten up. Who are you guys anyway? The PC Police?
