Finally!! My new baby is home!!!

Hey all,

After what feels like years of waiting, my new MCS is actually mine. I brought her home today. She doesn't have a name yet....open to ideas. Here are a couple of pics (or I know, it didn't happen).

Also, I cannot wait to join in on the fun and meet you all. Ah and yes I will remember to WAVE

Thanks to all of you who unknowingly helped.
David

Very nice. Good luck and I see I won't have to remind you to wave.

Thank you.

I have already put some miles on her; she is just WAY too much fun to stay parked in the garage. The break in period is tough. How the h*ll did you all keep your cars under 3K RPMS for 500-700 miles. Mine just wants to run..especially that upshift from second to third. OMG! Gears 2, 3, and 4 are going to a blast.

!st mod planned is the V1 detector. Parts arrived this week so I have my project already planned. Pretty sure I'm going to need it too.

1st Mini and already loving it.

Best mod there is. LOL. I have been using a Valentine for almost 20 years and would never use anything else.

Welcome, nice first pictures, more please.

Hope to see you out doing some of our gatherings and drives with MINI5280.

Yes, the V1 is a good addition if you tend to enjoy your MINI.

Don

Don,

Thank you for the kind words. And I do look forward to meeting you all at the events. Is the meeting on the 25th still a go? Depending on where it is, I may need more precise directions as I'm still learning my way around Denver.

And, I did submit my application to Mini5280.

Thanks,
David

Is this the new level of break-in for a hatch?
I was told to keep it under 100mph and 4500rpm for 1200 miles.

Things have changed over the years on engine break in so you might want to read this on how to break an engine in.
