Closed Sun Roof Wind Noise?

Anyone else get alot of wind noise inside the cabin with the sunroof closed? My CM gets a pretty good amount of wind noise on the fwy at normal fwy speeds. Especially if there is a headwind...

Is this normal?

Are you sure it's the sunroof? Could be windshield mouldings, especially if it's been replaced.

The wind noise we get in our countryman with the moonroof closed is negligible... No absurd whistling or unexpected noises for that matter.

Agreed, I even have the factory roof rack crossbars on my Countryman (and Rocky Mounts bike trays), and the wind noise is minimal. I've been in Countrymans (Countrymen? Countrypeople? Countryfolk?) without sunroofs, and there isn't any more wind noise in mine than in those.

I have a Thule aero bar setup with one of the bars directly over the front opening. I am not experiencing any more noise than with any other sunroof I've had in a Ford EXP, Accord, Expedition and two Grand Cherokees.

Actually, I think this is a rather well done sunroof as when the front is entirely open if I run my hand around underneath all of the edges there is not a gush of wind coming into the cabin like most of the others I have owned. As is typical, when open there is quite a bit of noise, but that is to be expected.

As you may/not be aware compared to a regular roof a sun roof will be noisier. Also, keep in mind, the interior of the CountryMan does not appear to be the quietest of enivronments as there is quite a bit of road noise. I've had mine a week so far and road noise if probably the biggest thing I have noticed that would come up as a con for this vehicle. That being said, I really do love it.

No more noise closed then any other vehicle I have had. Now with the sunroof open- more noise then what I am used to.

I have fought noise on my clubbie for 5 years. Leading edge of glass wants to stick up causing noise. Had it adjusted several times under warranty but over time it would revert back. I just pop it slightly to Reduce the noise. I really fixed it on my new CM by just getting a solid top.

Just got back from a trip from Ca. to billings Montana.About 3200 miles. and noticed the sound.

The front of the roof is making noise from the air.
While driving,if we open and closed the roof the sound would get quieter but would come back.

I checked the the front of the roof while stopped.I can push it down about 1/16-1/8" when closed.

Is there any kind of adjustment?

I'm pretty sure the seals are good.Going to look at it today.
