Rev Limiter issue

I have a 2012 R55 S with a dealer installed JCW tune kit (air box, exhaust,ECU) with 5,500 miles on the engine. Just recently, I have experienced an issue with the rev limiter kicking in at just over 4,000 rpm's as I accelerate. This condition does not exist consistently...since it started about a week ago it has happened 4 or 5 times. I keep the rev's under 4,000 when this happens and the problem goes away after driving a little longer. I've tried the Sport button on/off but that doesn't trigger the issue. It happens when the car is fully warmed up. I've had no engine modifications done otherwise and it does not throw any codes when this happens. Any thoughts form forum users would be appreciated. I'll have the dealer check into it but I wanted to see first if there were others who ran into this. Thanks

Are you sure its not he DSC system engaging caused by the tires losing traction? I had this problem under hard acceleration with my winter tires.

I'm in southern California and, when it does rain, I use my other car so the roads are dry and the DSC light doesn't come on. The engine definitely is cutting off momentarily and all I could tie it towas a premature rev limiter.

Does it throw a check engine light or anything? Not terribly fimilar with these cars just yet, but sounds like overboost / limp mode to me. Is there a wastegate spring change when this kit is installed? Also, does the JCW kit produce higher boost than the standard S tuning? (which is somehwere like 14psi if I recall)

I don't get a check engine light when this happens. Your other 2 questions are good ones. I don't know the answers now but I'll be sure to raise them with the dealer and see what they can tell me. Thanks for your thoughts on this.
