Have you ever regretted getting rid of a car?
Only 1 time... back when I got rid of my 08 Mazdaspeed 3. Great car!! Loved everything about it. But wanted to get into something that I could build more... Huge mistake!! Got a 07 Legacy GT 5EAT and hated it! Sounds dumb but prolly one of biggest regrets I have... mainly cause of all the money I wasted on getting it. Then I got my MCS. Funny how I wanted to get something faster and be able to build. But actually went down HP wise on the next 2 cars hahaha.
Well I actually have a little twist to my story, I had my Stealth TT, but it kept having bad issues from turbos to having my engine rebuilt(not worth it). At that point I went car shopping and found a slightly used 2008 Chrysler 300 SRT8, that baby was loaded, I didn't pull the trigger cause gas is what I was kinda looking for, so I leased a '08 MC. That's when I realized I wanted another MINI and I ended up with my '11 MCS.
'82 Fiat Spyder. Got transferred to Europe and already had an '85 CRX and '91 Miata. Couldn't justify mothballing three cars for a year and had recent acquired the Miata.
I swear that washing that car was a sexual experience... And driving it helped with sexual experiences...

A couple for sure. 03 wrx wagon, that car was in fantastic condition. 06 Nissan maxima. one of the nicest cars I've had. even had a heated steering wheel. and soooo quick! My absolute biggest regret though, was getting rid of my '79 280zx. pure joy.
I had a 66 VW Micro Bus with a sun roof and 21 windows that I sold to a friend for $100 because I was to cheap to rebuild the engine and tranny.
If I only knew how rare it was I would have kept it and fixed it instead of putting all my money into my 54 VW Cabrio.
Right now 21 window VW busses sell in the mid $50,000 range and Cabrio's are only in the mid 30s.
The Cabrio is fun but not nearly as fun as the Bus.

Did the renovation
Loved it
Began to have severe rusting at rocker panels after some road damage and financially unable to address it so I sold it at a complete loss
Today I regret not just simply holding onto it until I could work on it

I regret selling my TJ. I loved that stupid car.
I regret but don't regret selling my neon. That car was always a love hate relationship. I miss the power for sure, that car was a freaking blast to drive and I had so much fun with her on the track. But the money going into it was just getting too much and priorities started to change. Most days I wish I still had her, then I remember why her name was *****...........

My first car was a 10-year-old 1960 Jaguar Mark 2. I only paid $100 for it (probably equivalent to $500 today); the body & interior were in rough condition and it didn't run. I quickly discovered that the only reason it wouldn't run was because of a blown carburetor gasket and it wasn't long before I had it on the road.
I had a lot of fun with it for the next three years, but it was just too expensive to keep on the road (11 MPG and constant repair bills). I reluctantly sold it to a friend of my dad's, who immediately stripped it for parts and sold the shell for scrap.
Just knowing that it had been scrapped was bad enough, but a couple years later, while in a local junkyard looking for a part for my '65 Mustang, I turned a corner and came face to face with the rusted remains of my old Jag. I knew it was mine because of the telltale crease in the passenger's side front fender. That was my last visit to that junkyard.

I still maintain that E-Type was 90% responsible for snagging my co-ed-who-must-be-obeyed 40+ years ago (ya wanna talk experiences). I still wonder about the other 10% if it was the fine aromatic British brier pipe. I taught her how to correctly load and light it for me while on wonderful afternoon motoring excursions thru the countryside. Serious doubts if there was anything else.
