I just got a 2006 Mini Cooper Hardtop and the locks will not stay locked when driving. At about 10 MPH the locks lock and then a second later they unlock.

Anybody have any ideas what would be causing it to do this? It does it every time I take off from a stop light, stop sign, etc...

Funny, wierd behavior like that, windows going up or down by themselves and other such foolishness is often an indication of the battery going south. Take a look at the date tag on the battery, if it is 4 or more years old that could be the problem. Replacing the battery is no big deal. Had mine replaced a month or so ago at O'Reiley's. The guy brought it out, hooked it up and had me down the road in a few minutes. The only thing I had to do was reset the clock. Hope that is all it is.
