Silver Xenon for Black Xenon

Category: Lights
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56
Location (Region): SouthEast
Item Condition: Used

Wife just bought a 2013 Pepper White Cooper S and we're already working on upgrades with less than 1k miles on her... among many other things, all the chrome is going away.

We have the factory Silver Xenon housings and would be interested in trading and possibly offering some $ for a swap for Black Xenon housings.

Been checking the forums, vendors & other sale places. No luck yet, please pm us if you are interested!

Thanks in advance!

This may be a stupid question, but couldn't you just bake the lights, take them apart, and paint it?

Yes, that's most definitely one way of doing it.

For us, we would rather not have the hassle of any complications due to baking an resealing the glue on the housings... And a black OEM housing exists, so figured we would try to go that route first.

Thanks

Good luck with finding someone who wants to trade. If you decide to buy new black housings and want to sell the silver, let me know I might buy them and paint them for myself.

I wish MINI sells the innards of the headlight units. That way you can swap colors easily OR buy extras if you mess up painting a set. :/

If I can't find anyone wanting to trade plus some cash, we'll probably end up buying a set. If that ends up being the case, the silver Xenons will be for sale ...

Yeah, anyone with the black housing xenons don't want to sell them. They are a premium item and if you bought them separately, they're about $1100-1400. They look great too, so definitely a lot harder to find. They came on my R56, and I absolutely love them, so I hope you find yourself a set or buy them.
