There are videos out on YouTube of that yellow MINI with a blown V8 somehow shoe-horned into the bonnet. It's real. I've seen it in person...

In answer to the OP's question, my viewpoint is that a set of Torque Thrusts won't look right on a MINI, just like a set of gold BBS wheels taken off a Subaru WRX STi would look completely wrong on a '57 Chevy.

I love everything "muscle car", don't get me wrong, but there are certain types of wheels that are appropriate for any given car, and there are others that are not. I'm all for 'you-ifying' your MINI, but Torque Thrusts on a MINI is just fundamentally incorrect, IMHO.

But that's just my $.02

Those are essentially the Mustang Bullet wheels. American Racing makes good wheels, so if you like em, go for it. I'm not crazy about them on a MINI, but it's not my money.

They may look different with the positive offset from a MINI (shallow dish), but if you like it, try it. You can preview some wheels on Tirerack.com on your car (go to upgrade garage and play). Maybe they will have something that can give you an idea what it will look like.

Have fun,
Mike
