Looks like your going to need new pads. I guess some people change out the rotors at the same time but as long as they look fine...dont have grooves in them...and don't have any shaking when braking you should be fine.

Thanks guys, Im a newbie here and accidentally posted this again because I thiught I messed up the 1st time. Im doing the work sat. Here in SC its supposed to be 70 deg, all weekend. So. get the mini done then ride the busa.

One sensor front driver, one rear passenger. You can check in the OBC menu to try to figure out if both are tripped. You have definitely tripped at least one. There is a test procedure, but I can't paste the link right now from my tablet. I'll check later from a computer and post if you still think you need it.

1. The OBC has sep' counters for the front and rear brakes and in theory they are 'conditional' learning how you drive and 'accurate' so you could check there and see which one predicts your problem

2. Best bet is to just do a quick visual check of your pads - not difficult. With some wheels you can see right thru and don't even have to pull one - the seat of the pants test is to replace pads when the pad material is less thick then the backing plate. Ideally if you check both ends you're gonna see one set of pads much thinner than the other - you don't tell us what year this is or miles on the car so we don't have any way to guestemate where your car is service wise but MOST of the time fronts wear faster than rears.

3. There are many many threads here about brakes and sensors and replacing and and and. Search is your friend but you may need to still dig a bit even thru search results.

4. IMO the sensors are worthless. When I changed my pads recently (EBC red if anyone wonders) I bypassed the sensors. I do a quick visual on my pads when I change the oil and rotate the tires - and just keep resetting the computer to avoid the annoying alerts!

5. Bring it to my house and I'll change the pads - and the sensors or by pass them as you want - you buy the parts, listen to my b.s. and buy lunch. Long drive tho .... have you looked for a local MINI club? There may be a friend willing to do this in your town....
