anybody else with this...

about 5,300 on my CMs -with lots of moisture (its been raining last two days straight) the brakes squeal loud when i brake while backing out of my driveway...about two to three times. after several high pitched squeals they seem fine. this didn't happen before now it happens even though for a temporary amount of time...any thoughts?

This is normal. Look in the morning before you roll out, after a night in moisture (condensation of winter) you'll get a small amount of rust on your brake rotors. After applying the brakes a couple of times you'll have scrubbed the rust off & high pitch squeal is gone.

Here as well with the frost / snow. Like Mical said, after the first good stop, it disappears.

...and it's not just a MINI thing. Our Mazda 5 "sleeps" outdoors, does the same thing whenever it's damp / rainy / etc.

Our long downhill driveway takes care of the rust before reaching the road. Rust is most noticeable after washing the car since I have never had the ambition to dry the rotors.
