Thermostat housing

I noticed in my garage,a small puddle of water under my car.I have a 2007S,and am wondering if the therostat housing leak I have read about(or better, warned about)has become an issue. The water is the consistency of a water,anti-freeze mix.Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Happy motoring,

Rwynne

It sounds like antifreeze mix. Where is the puddle? Most likely the thermostat housing or the water pump, but it could be a hose. You're going to have to a bit of detective work to get an answer, but.... it needs to be taken care of no mater what the culprit is.

If it's leaking more on the driver side it is more than likely the thermostat assembly.

that is the most popular leak, but we have seen some water pumps leak too.

Just something to check: I had a CEL that I thought was the temp sensor on the thermostat assembly (turned out to be the T stat stuck), but anyhoo...I tried the sensor first and when I removed the old sensor, the oring was almost non existant. I still don't know how it wasn't leaking The sensor is pretty easy to get to and that might be something to check first.
