I didn't see a thread up, maybe I'm wrong, figured I'd start one. I see tons of MINI in Westchester and all over the Tri-State. WAVE when you see each other.

Yellow R56 S parked at the Waterfront in Port Chester (almost every day) - inc today

Pepper White R55 S parked at St. Peter's parking lot in Port Chester (almost every day) - inc today

Black R56 JCW in Rye Brook on King Street today, had black wheels. I waved at you in the bright green R56

Pepper White R53 in White Plains on Mamaroneck Ave, you had black wheels with large black decals on the sides

 

Rally Edition Clubman at Home Depot in Port Chester today... drooled all over you car lol

 

I've seen tons of MINI's and waved vigorously...only to be rejected! Saw a nice red Clubman JCW today right by my house. You'd think because I was standing right next to my car with a on my face, there would have been a slight reciprocation of emotion. Nope....I was left heartbroken. Who would have thought that I'd possibly have to leave the state to get a wave?

 

I use to wave or point, but I stopped because no one does it any more. My first month as a MINI owner, I got tons of waves. I even got a pull over. Now, MINI owner just keep it moving while bumping their gums on the phone. I have a friend who have a Jeep and he continuously gets waves! We drove from NY to Canada, then to Michigan and back and he got waves all the time. I guess with Jeep owners, the wave is international.

 

Perhaps NYC MINI owners would rather wave via MINILink to ensure that both hands stay on the wheel. That's it!!!!....It's a safety issue

i see mini's all the time. just on the campus of wcc alone there's a brown clubby and a red and white hardtop i see all the time.

i find i don't see too many down my way, but once i head to white plains or above 287 i see a lot more of them.

 

I saw a really nice Clubbie this morning. I thought FOR SURE this person would return the wave, as they pulled up RIGHT NEXT TO ME at a light. No such luck. They didn't even turn their head

 

where'd you see the clubbie? color? wave attack it!

 

It was a velvet silver straight clubbie with xenons and black bonnet and boot stripes. It had "MD" NYC plates. We were side by side on 63rd between 1st and 2nd Ave. Then we both made the left onto 2nd Ave. I went straight...they turned left on 62nd.

 

I saw a beautiful chilli red R56 I think with white stripes and goldish OZ rims CT vanity plate something to do with skydiving, really nice car, love the OZ's

 

So far this week, I saw a silver R53 on the FDR....very clean.

......And I saw a chili red R56 LCI (with black bonnet stripes; couldn't see the boot) in Astoria.

 

i keep seeing a red r56 with a white roof and stripes, it has union jack mirrors, plate frame and side badges as well. i've seen it at least three times on central ave in the last week. also saw a white countryman on the sprain this morning.

 

Got a nice glimpse of a blue Paceman parked on Riverside Drive near 147th Street.
