Foglight switch indicator light

Has anyone lost the illumination (green dot) on their foglight switch? Mine went out the other day. Not a huge deal so I was going to wait until my 15K service to have them fix it. At over 11K now and still having a motoring good time!

Does it actually have a light? Mine just lights up an indicator on the main speedometer.

Ha. I do think it should light up though. I always look there first to see if the fogs are on and then remember the indicator is in the dash.

1st-Gen MINI fog light switches (front and rear) have the green LED to indicate they are on.

Correction... the rear fog light switch has a brownish-red LED.

Fog light switch

My switch has always been not very bright. When it was first installed I even asked the dealer why so dim.....they told me that it was working correctly.
