Yeah, mine too. Do you know how much the voucher is going to be this year?

I could be wrong, but I don't think all dealerships do it on the same day. Unless you're in the same area as rdowty, I'd contact you dealer to get the specifics.

Each dealership schedules to be when they want. So it will not be on the same day.

For some reason, the link you posted didn't display until I quoted you and I saw the URL.

Edit: NM, probably because I quoted an older copy :D (Thanks for the link)

Also, is this "Not normal sales event" the same as "Motor-tober"?

Anyone know the difference between "Motor-Tober" and "Not Normal" ?

I know there must be a joke in there somewhere but I'm just wondering if one has better incentives/rebates than the other?

Is this good for orders already placed? My MINI ALL4 is arriving on the Topeka and the Not Normal event is on the 13th at my dealer. There isn't much in the way of info online about the event as far as I can tell.

My MA said it was good for a car I already ordered. I will take delivery the following week.

CZAR4,
My order is already placed and I have been told that just as long the car arrives after the event and you have your voucher already, you are good to go then for the discount.

So I guess the question is whether it's when you take delivery or when it arrives at the dealership? Mine's on the TOPEKA, arriving into port on the 4th - and I'm fairly close to NYC, so I would guess that it should make it to the dealer by the 8th, plus prep time at the dealer? My dealer's event is on the 13th, and I'd be more than happy to hold off on pickup until the 13th or later.

I just emailed my MA - we'll see! I'll report back.

I posted this question to my MINI dealer's facebook page. They are really good at responding to their customers on there. It's how I found this forum. I'll chime in when I get a reply.

This is what I just got in an email from my MA...

Hey Brian,
Here are the answers to all of your questions. Took a while to figure all this stuff out, but I got it. LOL Anyway,
1. Your MINI is supposed to land at the port in NJ on the 11th. From then it will usually take about a week or so to get here.
2. We can honor the extra $750 off, but under a couple conditions. You have to come to the event (ours is on the 20th) and register to get the credit. Then once you come and register, you can take delivery of your MINI. It will have to be during the week of 22nd. You can not pick up your new MINI until after the event to get the credit.

Is the voucher good at any MINI dealer or is it specific to one?

Although I hope that this is the case for all of us, I imagine policies and practices will vary from dealer to dealer.

If the "Not Normal" event is anything like the Motor-Tober vouchers in the past then it should be good for any dealer, not just the dealer from which you attended the event. It's a MINI USA event, not a specific dealer's. The money is coming from MINI USA so each dealer isn't losing anything if you take advantage of the discount. Hopefully someone who gets a voucher from one of the earlier events will post the details here.

I have yet to hear of a dealer that won't honor it.

I'm not saying that the dealer wouldn't honor the voucher, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion on the dealership side last year. Hopefully the voucher details won't exclude MINIs ordered prior to the event from taking advantage of the voucher as it did last year.

That's why I was so curious after reading the thread from last year. I forwarded the info and answers from this thread to my MA, and he said the NOT NORMAL event is covered in a 14 page bulletin, so he said he would read through it and get back to me on Monday. I'll post his answer.
