Countryman towed on 2 wheels!
My mini countryman all4 was recently towed. The tow company towed it about 150 feet with only the front wheels off the ground, while the rear wheels were on the ground spinning. After this, they put it on a flatbed. The tow was going very slowly. I am concerned that there is damage to the all wheel drive system, what should I be looking out for, and is this a legitimate concern? Is there a way for me to test for damage?
I'm told that for some AWD vehicles it is ok to tow them on two wheels at low speed for short distances, but I am not sure if the countryman is one of them. Any help is much appreciated!

One funny thing about living in Colorado is that all the tow trucks are flatbeds. Most likely it's because so many folks here drive AWD / 4WD vehicles. After 20 living years in the state, I'm not sure I can recall the last time that I saw a traditional tow truck here.
all tow trucks have the wheel lift even the ramp trucks to tow two cars at once they have it right below the tailights. If you had it towed by a wheel lift and the tires were tied down and not gandling so they could spin you probably have something broken inside the trans i would tell the dealer I towed cars and rigs for a good decade when I was younger and the subarus were just like this and everytime a new guy towed one wrong for us we bought a transmission.
I'm not sure if the wheels were able to spin or not, but the car is still able to drive and the AWD seems to still be working. I am going to get it off the ground to see if all four wheels turn when I gas it. Is there anything else that needs to be checked?
