R56 2011 bypass valve louder than pre 2011?

2011 bypass valve louder than pre 2011?
Had a 2011 Clubman loaner and I noticed that the noise fro the BPV is actually audible unlike my 2007. Am I imagining things?

Is the intake different, or maybe the P/N is just different?

The intake tube is different on the n18 (hard and smooth, like the one that comes with the JCW tuning kit), that could be the reason for the more audible noise.
