i was wondering if you guys are interested in carbon fiber hoods for about 5 to 600 dollars. the reason why im asking this is because my car will be prototyped and fitted with a 6k weave carbon fiber hood. hes also going to prototype a carbon fiber oem spoiler. sorry no pics but ill update you guys once they start working on the car.

I don't know if this matters, but Someone has already done both the hood and the OEM spoiler in CF. It's probably more expensive than $600, though. What's your source?

I've never seen the OEM spoiler in CF

I have seen the M7 spoiler in CF but not the OEM one.

yeah these are crazy prices... i mean dont get me wrong. their products are great! but for the price.. its really steep. the source im going through, they are using 6k weave instead of 3k which means stronger carbon fiber. so yeah im pretty happy that they asked me to be their "dummy" car. haha

Anyone ever see an EB/W with a carbon hood, whats it like.
I could imagine that most of you would have silver, grey or black cars with a few exceptions.

I'd love to see the completed product. Given the complexity of the hood shape, and the expense of materials, and a quality (fit/form/reinforced etc.) I have doubts that it would retail in the $500-$600 range. It would be nice to see, but that is darn near the cost of mfg.
Would it be hand-laid? Autoclave?

Interest may depend on the weight of the Cf hood. The last one was only a few pounds lighter than stock and therefore for the show guys. The go guys want light weight.

What's your going to weigh?

hey sorry i didnt get back to you guys. still trying to find out when my car is done for the rotors and stuff so i can bring it down to la. but uhm the price of the cf hood for the 3k will be around the "normal" range which would be around 5 to 600, their 6k weave would go frmo 550 to 700 but dont quote me on that. we'll find out more. uhm.. their hoods weigh about 11 to 14 lbs
