FM Radio Artist, Song Information Display??

Hi all,

Ok, so I have had my CM for less than a week and completely love it. Although there are a few things, mostly from the Connected/Radio system that is frustrating and hopefully someone out there has some answers.

1. When I select 'Radio' and then push the joystick to the desired station, the station begins to play, but I can't see any artist or song info? Am I missing something? I have tried a bunch of different stations which I know display this info.

2. How do I start the Bluetooth Audio to play music without using the y-cable? I click on 'Bluetooth Audio' and nothing happens and I just hear the music from my iPhone.

3. So I have the y-cable plugged in and I am playing my music from my iPhone. I can't stop it and go to a different format, say web radio.

Any help would be awesome!!

1) that is true, and a nnumber of people have complained about it. Being in the FM module is the only way to see the info

2) You have to disconnect the y cable, go into BT setup and enable audio for the phone. You can then play until you plug the phone in again and a message will pop up saying that you can't do both and BT audio has been disabled.

3) That should work just fine. Either go through the connected menu to get to the web radio, or if you want FM/Sirius, you can hit the little button to the left of the volume on the center console.

Song / Artist / Ect - toggle right, choose display station information. Note - not all stations do it. Also - radio will revert to default any time you interupt the display. Then you have to reset it. Over and over and over . . .

One thing to remember about the radio info...
Only very strong fm stations that are encoded for it work...
On most any radio, a barely stero fm will not always show it. In my experance that means you must be within 45 miles of a strong station, and it MUST encode the info....for example Boston area stations 45+ miles away do ok on a hill, or slightly south, but still sound good, but the info drops off of most of them in a narrow band in my area ...about 80% of stations encode the info when they transmit (This info in general, for any car radio that displays the info).

Welcome to the MINI infotainment system, the user interface for which appears to have been designed by a crack team of retarded orangutans.

I noticed on mine that if you're on an HD station, you'll have to hit the "info" button to see the RDS information.

However, if you're receiving a regular "ST" signal and they provide RDS, it will scroll across the window.

You can turn off "HD" to see the information scroll, but then you won't receive the HD signal.
