DDMWorks Intake

Anyone manage to install the DDMWorks R55/56/57 Cooper (Non S) Intake and JCW strut bar without any issue?

I intend to order DDMWorks but I got mix answers as some supplier mention the JCW strut bar will obstruct it and some doesn't.

I use to be on the K&N Typhoon intake and was able to install the JCW strut without any issue.

Have you bought the strut bar? There is much debate whether or not the bar is even necessary or does much at all to improve the car's performance.

Then again, there's a similar argument about CAIs as well

Just got my DDMworks intake and plan to install it on my own. Apparently, I did not expect that the installation require the removal of the entire stock intake. (Previously was on K&N and it only require the removal of the top intake cover.)

While trying to remove the base of the stock intake, there are 2 nut which is not the usual screw/ nut we see securing the intake. Wasn't able to remove it as I do not seem to have any tools to remove them. Does anyone have any idea what kind of screw or nuts are those and how to remove them?

Thanks in advance!

This is on an S, but you can see there is no clearance issue with the JCW strut bar.

Hi, do you mind posting some pics of the installation? From the installation guide, it seem like it only require the removal of the top stock intake. However, it seem that I need to remove the entire stock intake in order to install the DDM intake.

I got mine installed and love it!!

The housing just pulls off of those screws. Then when you attach the new box the new supplied screws just screw into those!
