Need help

How can I tell if the power steering pump just went bad or if its something else. What i know is that its not leaking, When I turn my car on it would steer just fine for about 2 minutes and that is when it start feeling like the pump stops pumping fluid and just stops working.

Also i don't know if it has anything to do with the pump but when i come to a stop light my car feels like its going to cut off?

It may or may not be the pump. Sometimes when your battery is starting to go that can happen. Do a search on failed ps pump and you will see lots of possibilties. Keep us posted.

Don't bother searching for a power steering "pump"; there is no pump on the R56. The steering 100% electromechanical; no hydraulics involved. Search "power steering" instead.

You may be right! I just assumed it was an R56 because it was posted in this forum.

Read this and then do a search on the power steering pump.
