Rev it to 6K RPMs and dump the clutch...

No I kid! What works best for me is the rev it to about 3K RPMs and slip the clutch...I've beat MCS's off the line plenty of times, but then they're damned supercharger kicks in

slip as in let up slowly and feel the grip of the tires through the steering wheel and pedals. If you aren't going anywhere and there's a lot of noise then you're spinning the tires, if you aren't going anywhere and there's no spinning then you're bogging......it's finding that fine line between a burnout and a bog which feels sort of like the tires are skipping on the pavement. BTW, if you do a SEARCH on this, you'll find that it has been covered many times.

I have to agree, about 3500 rpms and let out the clutch, dont pop it, you will just spin the tires. I got a good 7 second time last night with my standard cooper, (0-60)15 second 1/4 mile with the 3500 method.

cheers, jason

i got a pre-v36, so I rev up to about 3500RPM and slip the clutch briefly,
or 4000-4200RPM and quickly engage with a wheelspin. (depends if i sense a
cop near by or not).

otherwise, if I rev anylower, i get a hickup (stumble).
