Trying to understand difference on several parts, Justa vs S

First - brake calipers: are they any different on the S and Non-S R56?

Second - clutch

Third - springs

Thanks!

I believe the S does have bigger brakes. Someone will correct me shortly if I am wrong.

The S has a dual-mass flywheel, the base doesn't.

The springs are the same unless the S is equipped with Sport Suspension, which was/is also available on the Base.

Thanks! So is the actual clutch assembly the same?

Can someone confirm that the calipers are the same?

If you check against RealOEM.com and PenskeParts.com, you'll see that the front calipers are the same.
HOWEVER, the front carriers and rotors are different between the Justa (280mm) and 'S'-models (294mm).

The clutches ARE different between the Justa (200mm) and the 'S'-models (228mm).

Springs are unconfirmed to be the same as MINI doesn't provide rates.
But, the suspension components used (strut, bump stop, spring plates) are the same between both the Justa and 'S'-models.

Interesting, thank you! Surprised the clutches are different given the same motor dimensions and same transmission.

Ah, another good thing to know! Do the differences go beyond gear ratios?

Yeah, the transmission housing is different between the two regards to mounting hardware and size of the housing.
