Madnessmotorworks kinda shady?
Just ordered a set of badges from madnessmotorworks for the simple reason I needed a new valve cover badge and they were the only vendor I could find one from. I paid $16 in shipping to get them from Oregon to Michigan via ups. The finally show up here six days later having come in via USPS in an envelope (a white one for letters and bills and such) and I'd only had a hatch sticker and two stupid looking silver dollar size black stickers. Two stamps was all it actually cost to send it. I was just wondering if anyone else had a bad experience with these guys, or if it was just a bad roll of the dice for me.
Many places use a standard shipping fee......
So it sounds like the standard fee...sometimes it gets you a savings, some times it costs you, cost you!!
I'd call them...and see if maybe the product you bought should of had a different shipping fee....maybe they will credit you a few $$.

When you finally get tired of leaning over and bending you neck to see the overhead traffic lights, you will order a Light-In-Sight and it will arrive in a plain old fashioned envelope. Seems rediculous to expect something like that in a box with a wad of packing.
Some miss the point. I don't rightly care about the cost of post. What angers me is that I paid for ups, as it states on my invoice, and it comes via a white business letter with two stamps on it and, most importantly, without the one thing that they were supposed to send. All in all, I don't care if it took two weeks and was delivered by mule, I still didn't get what I paid for. A part missing is a part missing. Anyone whose built modular furniture can relate to that. It's always one little screw or something like it that throws a wrench into the mix. That's really all I meant. I paid for an item that I never got.

Sadly George is slipping as of late. I have done a lot of business with him over the years and it was all pretty good, but as of late it is just not what it should be. The latest issue was with my sway bar. I ordered some replacement bushings for my bar that I bought off him as mine were shot and the ones he sent were too small. It took forever for him to refund the money and he didn't even reimburse me for the shipping back on his screw-up. I doubt I will be doing business with him ever again to be honest.
Ahh. Thank you daflake and braminator. I was just wondering if it was my bad luck or if it had happened before. Thank you both for your replies. I won't be bothering him then if it's a matter like that. Maybe he is just over his head. It happens and my order wasn't anything drastic nor did it have anything to due with drivability so no harm. Obviously he isn't shady, maybe just forgetful. Definitely forgotten a lot of things in my day, lol.
They did my pulley install a few weeks ago. I had emailed George back and forth a few times before hand but when I got there and the install was done I never even saw him. The mechanic I did talk to and who did the work seemed like a good guy. They also threw in a set of 2 of every badge and sticker they had simply because I asked.
The shop is in a weird location and they said they had just moved. It looked like it as well. Email George and see what he can do for ya.
