yeah you know those little rubber black or transparent pieces you attach to your door edge??

so that when you open your door and accidentally hit something (if you do so carelessly), it protects the paint on the door?

im thinking of getting a simple plain black one to add on cause i managed to chip off paint there :/

can be gotten at any parts store.

I dont use them because I think they are really ugly.

I just make sure i am really careful in parking lots, garages, etc. etc. etc.

 

This worked for me.

It comes in black or chrome(Like). I got the black. IMO they barely show up if you run it from the from top of the door to bottom. Sadly no pictures of my car with them on. I don't have a camera phone. Not sure where to get them besides Amazon.

 

I also chipped the edge of my driver's door carelessly opening it in my garage. I just used a blob of touchup. Can't even tell it's there.

 

Mine are clear - was part of the clear bra package along with behind the door handles and the rear bumper loading area. There's a big chip the door edge though , but it might have been there before they put on the film. It doesn't look like it chipped through the film.

 

If it had chipped with the film on it would still be trapped there....Correct?

I don't have a pic...maybe I'll take one next time I go outside....but the dealer had a film type guard put on mine about twice the thickness as a typical vinyl decal. They are barely noticeable. In fact the MA had to show them to me before I even knew they were there.
