anyone else think the JCW R60 exhaust is just the stock muffler unit with different welded on tips and no resonator?

It has a different diameter mid pipe and a more free flowing back box... I had the two systems side by side when i ordered mine... But I went ahead and cut all the resonators out of the mid pipe and added an Akrapovic DP. I'm happy with the sound, that's for sure!

 

Is the JCW a cat-back system only? Because the JCW exhaust on R56's removes the second cat. I imagined the JCW exhaust did the same on the R60.

Interesting. I wonder why MINI decided to remove the second cat on the JCW exhaust for the R56, but not on the R60. Weird.

 

I put a borla cat-back exhst , could this be a problem later on as far as check engine lite?
