Removal of elbow pad

I have searched the forum and can't quite seem to get the answer that I need. Can the elbow pad that is on the armrest on the door panel be removed without removing the door panel? Mine could use a good cleaning, or possibly even be recovered (mine is cloth) and if I could simply pop that piece off it would make it easier. Thanks for any help!

Not really. On the '04 the pad is glued and screwed onto the door panel. You could just pull it off, but reattaching is an issue (mine came detached, and it's been a PIA ever since.) There are three *tiny* torx screws on the bottom edge.
