I am completely new here and foreign to the mini family. Alittle background info is Ive been a Audi advocate for the last 5 years having owned a a4 and s4 cab. The S4 is a great car, but being a 04 it just began having serious engine problems. Anyways, I am hoping you can help with two questions,

1. If I buy a 09-10 JCW with warranty from a private party or not a mini dealer; can I take the car to the mini dealer to extend the warranty to 6 year 100k? I need the extra warranty, and these jcw's are hard to come by at the dealer with a fair price. Looking at the mini's for sale in the classifieds here is where I would probably start.

2. What is a fair price for a 09 MC JCW - not loaded just simple - and average mileage around 30's.? If a few people could chime in who recently purchased, it would be greatly appreciated!
