I think i already know the answer to this, but is there any option aside from an aux plugin that i could use to get HD radio on my 2008. I know I have the sirius prep already installed(antenna wiring under the seat) but HD radio is free vs a sat subscription.

 

HD radio was an Option in 2008 so you could go with the OEM module but that is going to cost you about $300 plus install and programing.

 

so potentially if i find someone selling a 2008 headunit with HD radio, i could buy it and get it installed? and it should work?

EDIT: the local LKQ has one for $100 used. when you say programming, what do you mean? its not a simple swap out?
