Hi guys, 1st post and 1st question

I have been a Pontiac Fiero guy for over 20 years, and got my 1st Mini (an 09) last August. I love the thing, and really thing I have found a new hobby car :D. This one is my DD, and with living in an apartment and no room to work, and then winter hitting, didnt do a WHOLE lot with it the 1st 6-7 months I had it, but am now making up for lost time.

I have a build thread going here if anybody is interested http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum6/HTML/093547.html (Pennocks is a good bunch of guys for a forum, and we arent sticklers about currently owning a Fiero)

Anyway, the question...I am in the middle of an amp/sub box install, have the left footwell trim off, and what I am seeing isnt even close to the guidline found here http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-...subinstall.pdf

Does anybody have a pic (or know where to find one) of the speaker harness in an 09 so I can figure out what I am looking at and what to tap into? (Its a base model sound system, and I am keeping the stock head unit, just adding the amp and subs to the system)

TIA

You might try checking in the Stereo and Electronics sub-forum; they're likely to have more info.

BTW, I love the thread on Pennock's about the young lady building up her own Fiero! It's awesome to see someone that dedicated to a goal, especially at that age. Heck, I wish I was that dedicated at my current age! (I would have signed up, but I don't have an "acceptable email address" for the signup process.)

Very cool, and welcome! I used to have a Chevy Cavalier Z24 convertible, same engine as in the Fiero, 2.8L inefficient V6.

The info you need is on that document on pages 5-6 for the Base R56 stereo.

As others have said head over to the NAV and AUDIO section and you will find all sorts of great info on what you are looking for.

Also of note is how the forum is set up each model has its own section but there are also sections that relate to specific areas of the vehicles htat are common to all the models so in this case audio questions should go in the nav and audio section as that is common to all the models.

Thanks Guys...I got it nailed, and it sounds GOOD. LOADS better than stock system alone.
