What goes first: Hydro or wax?
I'm finally going to get to try Hydro. I still have a half full can of the (unfortunately) discontinued Meguiars #16 and am trying to finish it off.
After clay bar cleaning, should the Hydro go on top of or under the Meguiar's wax? I've visited several car wax forums and am amazed how many people mix wax coats together with as many as THREE different brands! On the other hand, their paint jobs look awesome.

For regular Hydro it is wax/sealant with the detailing process and Hydro after your next wash.
For Hydro Seal, different process and no was/sealant.
Hydro is a spray on wax type product you apply when your car is still wet after a wash but not part of the wash, clay, polish, wax process.

It depends on your goal. Hydro can be used to maintain your regular wax as a booster wax or it can be your primary wax. #16 is a paste wax that is popular among enthusiasts but it's known for being a bit difficult to put on and take off.
Whether you will see any benefits from using #16 over or under Hydro is debatable. Personally, I would just use Hydro as a booster wax to maintain your #16 until you use it up, then get some Prima Epic to replace it, which is far easier to apply and remove, just as durable, and has an incredible richness and depth to the paint.
