I have seen/heard the Borla race and street
I have seen/heard the Magnaflow
I have seen/heard the Milltek,

I would LOVE to see/hear the UUC

Maybe get some video clips or each.

Could there possibly be a few people, with each kind of exhaust system out on the market, all be at Deals Gap 2004?

Post here if you will be there and could hang out for an hour some time with a group of watchers, listening to you exhaust note. Date and time to be added later.

I wonder.... is there anyplace in the area with a dyno that could take on a car? Would be neat to do some runs using different air intakes, exhausts, etc.....

Mini-Clo:

i am totally down with that! i'll plan that end of it, and maybe the t-shirt should have the back end of a cooper on it with a bowl of chilly coming out of the tail pipe.. and the shirt has to be a dark red like chili bean color with yellow print!

My Magnaflow and I would be more than happy to oblige.

And for the curious, I'll bring along my Db meter.

That would be great, if it is not too much of a hassle.

ooh Greatbear - Bring your recording gear - that would be AWESOME to finally have benchmark comparisons for everyone! Besides, I'm sure Mully1217 will think of something naughty to use that microphone for in the Party Cabin, hee hee.

Ok, now we have to work out the logistics.

I'm picturing a representation of all aftermarket exhausts for Cooper and MCS. We'll do a popular vote based upon sound and looks. We'll have to orchestrate it somehow where everyone will be able to hear each exhaust (woah!) Contestants obviously cannot vote for their own exhaust. No big awards, just bragging rights that yours is louder or sounds sweeter than the next MINIac agokart and Greatbear will handle the sound byte recording for future referencing. How does this all sound so far?

Agokart,
We will need to find some place to set this up. Being there last year, I can't think of any place to conduct the test that would offer a viewing area???

Being there last year myself, there are two areas at Fontana Village that would work great. One is the parking lot area where the store is. A very big lot and lots of parking. But I think the best area will be close to where the chili cook-off will be. There is a two tiered parking lot. To have the cars below and lots of room for people the overflow can be only several feet above the lower lot.
