Purchased my first Mini, small dilemma. Input Appreciated

Just sold my Infiniti G35 coupe, and wanted a change of pace.

Purchased a 2004 Mini Cooper S. 6 Speed. Indy Blue.

It has some aftermarket wheels, and I found out most of them are slightly bent. They are TSW wheels. I had Volk Racing GT-7 on my G, and never had an issue. The tire size is 215/35/18. I have no clue what size the rim is.

My question is, should I go stock? Or aftermarket? I am thinking of washing the rims, keeping the tires and just purchase aftermarket wheels. What size rim would I be looking for?

I want something that looks nice, like an OEM 17'... Or a matte black
aftermarket wheel. I do not have a huge budget. I would like some extra
rubber, but how much do I have to sacrifice ride quality/alignment issues?

Thank you for the input

How would these fit and look?

Is there a huge difference between 7 and 7.5 rim width? With my tire sizes (215/35/18)

If you live near a Discount Tire or America's Tire store I'd stop in or go online and look at their Drag brand. I've had the DR-9's and DR-37's on my MINI's (both in black with red lip). They're inexpensive and I never had an issue...plus they offer great service. Good luck

The TSW's were crap, I just do not want to buy poor quality rims. But, it could have been a poor driver who hit every pothole on the road... idk.
Regardless, I will check out discount tire or america's tire.

If you like that design Tire rack has ASA AR1's (a subsidary of BBS) that have a similar look and they show that they will fit the MINI.

BBS are great....but expensive as hell
ASA are good, inexpensive, but a bit on the heavy side
Axis, are't bad
Enkei are very good and held up to 4 years of track abuse on the set I had
OZ are on par with Enkei
HRE are very nice, but as with BBS they are very pricey
Advanti, OG, Motegi I know next to nothing about though I see Motegi wheels on a lot of Civics and Acords around here.

I came from a BMW E92 335i and I had Volk TE-37s and also ran CE-28s. I've always been a wheels kinda guy and I'm rocking my 2nd set of CCW's. You're on a budget, I'd say go with OZ. 17s are fine, but I like what 18's offer.

A lot of guys/gals here say you're sacrificing ride quality because you'll be on 18s, but I hardly notice the difference. Most E92's came with 18s, and I opted for 19s. I didn't notice it then when the size jumped, and I hardly notice it now. Good luck shopping around!
