Anyone running 17/7.5 wheels?

If so, what size tire are you using? I bought a great set of Enkei Imolas (love them) but they are 7.5 inches wide. I put my 205/17's on them but they seem to be stretched a bit. Should I be worried about that?

Am I better off with 215's? I dont want to have to buy new tires too but if its a big deal, I guess I'll have to.

I would prefer to know what people are actually using and what your experience is with this set up. Less theory and more reality.

thanks

I run Kumho ECSTA XS 215/45/17 on my 7.5x17 street wheels, but 205/45/17 work fine.

No problems running 205/45R17s on 17x7.5s here either.

cool - thanks guys. sometimes you do too much research and one persons opinion can really throw you. I was reading about something else and someone started talking theory on this subject and made me second guess things. nothing beats real world experience

I currently run the stock 205 on my ATS 17x7.5 wheels there is no issue with the size just go bigger when you need new rubber. If you want to go bigger just keep in mind that different sizes will through off your speedometer. Use a tire size calculator to figure out what different sizes will do to your speedometer readings. I was hoping to go 235 when my tires are done I know its not standard but BMW has approved that size on a 17x7.5 for certain M3's.

I would run wider tires but, not because of the stretch. I would run wider tires just for the contact patch but, that is me and I know that it will slow you down a little.
