Who's Going to MOTD 10

Two folks from down here in the River Region are going to MOTD 10. I don't think either are members of this forum. One who is a member, mentioned a few months ago that he wanted to go.

Alas, I can't go during that week, but would like to have those who can, get to know each other before they arrive.

I'm definitely going and my wife might be joining me. It is our first Dragon. We honestly don't have a room booked yet but we're registered and all that stuff.

Super stoked!

Well, I'm ashamed to report back that we didn't see one Mini with an Alabama tag except my own.

MOTD 10 was a complete thrill! We met dozens of enthusiastic owners, we received tons of goodies (free and paid for), we learned a lot about our cars and, most importantly, we were able to slay the dragon without a bruise!

The "Midnight Run" was definitely the highlight of our weekend.

If you ever go visit the dragon for a few days, we highly recommend the Blue Waters Mountain Lodge in Robinsville. Beautiful lodge, great food and truly, truly wonderful people.

I sometimes feel like it's a lost cause trying to revitalize Mini owner's excitement in their expensive investment in the Birmingham area (hell, even the Alabama area), but I wont give up.

This Mini fever I've had since October just intensified times 10 and I don't see it getting any better anytime soon.

Glad you had a blast.
Yeah I hope you can get the Alabama MINIs back to doing things.
I have admit since I moved to Florida, Sunshine Minis really do alot and its totally a great experience.
MINI of Pensacola is such an awesome dealership and do tons of events for Panhandle MINI our local MINI club.
Maybe you can get MINI of Birmingham to step up to the plate and help get the Bama club back up and going.

We were there from Wednesday on. Guess our paths didn't cross. It was a blast! I went on the Cherahola Skyway run on Friday. I ran the Dragon by myself 8 different times. Of those runs, six of them were on a clear road. On Saturday moring before 7:00 AM, I went up and back three times. I finally had to stop at three because I was making myself car sick.

We stayed at the Tapoco Lodge abd have already told them we want to come back next year.

We will definitely have to coordinate something nex year!
