OMG, too much fun!

So I have a bike race tomorrow that is 80% gravel road and two track. It is my first year doing this race, so I thought I would take the R60 for a run through to check out the course. Holy Cr#p! It was raining lightly, and that added to the fun. I thought this car hugged the curves on dry pavement, but this was just sick! I have had AWD Durango, 4X4 F-150, Ford Escape Hybrid 4WD, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD, in the past 10 years, along with the wifes Wrangler. Other than maybe the Grand Cherokee's ability to take the dipsy do's of the two tracks, and the F150's sheer ability to power through ANYTHING, this car was made for ripping through what I was on today.

One second I'm going 65-70 down a loose gravel straightaway, and then I'm diving into right angle turns in S curve format at 30-40 mph . If it were a closed course, I probably would have hit some of the blind turns and curves a little faster. I cannot believe how well this thing holds the road on loose gravel, sand, banked and unbanked turns. I haven't driven a lot like this, so I'm sure I even babied it a bit. The loop I took was 36 miles. If I hadn't had to get to a meeting, I would have done another lap!

Can't imagine what this thing will do with non RF tires.

I am not certain at this point which will be more fun, the car or the bike ride.

My recommendation for all4 owners is to find some dirt with this car fast!

I have a problem on gravel roads with the run flats that are on mine. They are so stiff with the wrong kind of tread, the tires slide on the gravel, despite the traction control and all wheel drive. My kids get a kick out of it though.
