bike rack

has anyone put a Thule roof rack on the mini crossbars? I have then Mini brand crossbars and want a rack where you remove the front tire, but it looks like it doesn't come with the tire holder fork.

Email this guy ors-direct-service@orsdirect.com at ORS racks direct. Here is a pic of my subie with whispbars(from yakima) and thule 517 peleton's. You will need the $12 thule adapters I'm sure.

If you already have the MINI crosbars you can get a front wheel holder from the dealer. If MINI does not have it go to the BMW side of the dealer. I recycled BMW bike / wheel holders on the MINI cross bars and they slide right in.

Oh my god. Take that bike off the car this instant. I'm freaking out about the garage door height just looking at it.

I use Thule's 593 front wheel holders on the OEM roof bars: http://goo.gl/ctYaf

I also use the Yakima ForkLifts which fit onto any OEM roof bar without any adapters: http://goo.gl/fqvTp

Actually the 593 wheel holders just arrived yesterday, and i will install them on the roof bars tomorrow weather permitting, so I'll let you know if they have any problems.

haha......don't worry I just put it up there for a test fit after installing the rack. The bike came right off after that, but your right I would flip if I had a damaged bike, car roof, and garage door
