the dot

I've used my second brain, Google, and searched the forum but I do not know what is the purpose of the translucent "dot" on the speedo with navigation is for.

It lives directly below the airbag and DSC indicator lights and above the navigation screen directly in the middle.

My MA said it was a sensor but I cannot find anything about it in the owner's manual.

It's not the shine off of Mickey's nose is it?

Thanks all! G

Maybe it's, like, the navel?

I figured it was just a frame of reference point for the fuel gauge. So you can tell how fat you are from full, especially in the dark.

Wrong dot.

I don't have Nav/Connected, but does the screen get brighter or darker based on ambient light? Is there a night mode for the Nav? It could be a light sensor.

do you have automatic a/c? might be an infrared sensor to detect body temp and other stuff for the auto a/c features.

looks like light sensor for adjusting the dash background light to me. You could do some test by covering it during the day to see if the background light will come on.

It's a light sensor for something... Doesn't look like a temperature sensor, although with all this technology you never know

shine a light in it and cover it up and see what changes.
